Ceramic Frit is a pigmented glass enamel that is permanently fused to the glass surface fired at temperatures in excess of 1200 deg F. This product is available in combinations of the solid, metallic and translucent colors.

Fritted Glass offers a cost effective, low maintenance solution to many design needs.  Glass coated with Ceramic Frit can also be recycled at the end of its useful life and is available in laminated or monolithic form.

The glass used in this case is either heat strengthened or tempered (which has better mechanical strength and thermal resistance).  The pattern printing is done either with traditional silkscreened ceramic frit or with new digital ceramic imaging (digital printing) process.

Benefits of Ceramic Fritted Glass Patterns

Since the glass enamel fuses into the glass surface becoming a permanent coating, it does not get damaged/discoloured over time nor gets removed by cleaning and scrubbing.  Thereby giving architects & designers the flexibility in selecting cladding materials where colour and pattern design are important for visual impact.

The other key benefit of Fritted Glass is that it offers a creative solution for controlling solar heat gain & glare; and at the same time providing privacy where needed.  The coverage of enamel on the glass surface determines the quantum of light that can pass through.

Common Applications of Fritted Glass

Ceramic Printed Glass bodes well for indoor as well as outdoor applications ranging from external curtain walls to interior shower installations.  While the size, density and color of the Ceramic Frit determines the opacity and shading, the variety of dots, squares, stripes give many design combinations to achieve any desired effect.
